"Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbon" - Ruth Ann Schabacker

The focus of my work is movement re-education using somatic therapies. The somatic approach recognizes that each body pattern is an outward manifestation of the whole person that is always in flux. In a state of health, the soma moves with grace, ease, and coordination. The intention of my work is to bring the body and the mind to this state.

"After being discouraged by several failed attempts at local gyms I asked Ginny to put together a home exercise program for me. The program, which incorporates Somatics, strengthening and cardio work, is set up so that I do a different set of activities each day of the week. After several months I am still feeling motivated and challenged. Ginny has provided excellent suggestions and follow-up, and I am starting to see some real benefits which include having more energy, strength, and a better sense of my body in space. It has been a very rewarding experience working with her." - Marilyn Tremblay

"I have been doing competitive ballroom dancing for ten years and it can really take a physical toll on one's body. My weekly sessions with Ginny really make a difference out on the dance floor." - Kay LaPointe

"I will be seventy years old this November and I love the movement of Somatics. Ginny Jackson's style of teaching has helped me to awaken my body, and has allowed me to move more naturally and easily. Her teachings and methods have helped me to move freely, and have given me more energy throughout the day. Since she started this wonderful program she has added other forms of movement re-education, which, like Somatics, teaches us to perform more efficiently, really helps to keep everything in balance, and allow me to move fluidly. Ginny has tied this whole package together with a huge bow. It is a wonderful, 'anyone can do it' program." - Sandy Rodgers

"I've had osteopenia for over 15 years. To my surprise and delight, my last bone scan showed I was normal! I actually increased my bone density. I don't take prescription drugs for this, so what have I done differently in the past three years between bone scans? Only three things: vitamin D supplements, a walking routine (3 miles/day), and yoga for alignment. I also added 1/4" to my height, which is clearly due to stronger muscles supporting my spine thanks to yoga." - Sara Backer

Moderate Yoga:
Ignite your passion for movement again with a full body somatic routine designed to re-educate and re-align the body. Follow that with a vigorous Ashtanga-like yoga practice. Some yoga experience is highly recommended.

Somatics for Strength & Suppleness:
Re-educate, realign, and find movement ease. It will teach you to relax tight back, neck and shoulder muscles and restore strength. (There is limited space in these classes, so pre-registration is necessary.)

Massage Therapy:
The very best way to discover your body's stress patterns is with a massage. Massage can help break the stress and pain cycle. By determining the muscle and fascial condition massage is applied therapeutically to correct spasms and contractions. This allows the function of muscles and nerves to be re-established.

Private Movement Sessions:
Did you know that the sensory motor system of the brain controls the muscles and movement. No exceptions. Private Movement Sessions are designed specifically for your bodies stress patterns and to maintain the effects of massage, or any other body therapy.

  • 60 minute massage $70
  • 90 minute massage $80
  • 90 minute movement session $75
  • Follow-up movement session $35 - $70
