The focus of my work is yoga therapy. In yoga therapy the tools and techniques of yoga serve to reconnect each person to themselves, at all levels - from the physical body to the breath, the energy body, mind, and emotions, higher wisdom and spirit.

This approach includes a comprehensive lifestyle program based on the key principles of yoga, and includes:

  • Healthy routines and lifestyle
  • Nutrition for the whole person
  • Exercise and yoga asanas
  • Breathing exercises
  • Yoga hygiene and natural health
  • Meditation
  • Life philosophy

Yoga offers a number of tools that help overcome one of the chief factors undermining the health and well-being in a modern world : an out of balance stress response system, yoga therapy sessions aim to restore balance and provide tools to sustain this.

A private session includes a pre-assessment, an individualized movement, yoga and exercise program, breathing, meditation lifestyle recommendations, homework, and follow-up. The cost of the first session is $90 and follow-up sessions range from $45 to $70.

I-Calm
I-Calm is a targeted yoga practice to rebalance the nervous system.
The class includes breathing techniques, Yin yoga and somatic movements.
Friday January 15th 5:00pm - 6:30pm
$15 per class - free for unlimited yoga students

Yoga-Tune-up Workshop
Give your body a Tune-up from the Inside out. This workshop will teach you to release aches and pains, relieve tension, and restore ease in the body. This workshop will be taught by Cathy Mook, certified Yoga-Tune-up teacher.
Saturday January 23rd/ 1pm - 3pm
$40. Includes a set of original Yoga Tune-up Therapy balls

Yoga for Strong Bodies
This class will add in extra strengthening work to strengthen the body and increase metabolic rate. It will also include yin postures to revitalize connective tissue. Monday 9:30am - 10:45am

Somatics for Strength & Suppleness:
Re-educate, realign, and find movement ease. It will teach you to relax tight back, neck and shoulder muscles and restore strength. (There is limited space in these classes, so pre-registration is necessary.)

Private Session and 3 week follow-up program:

First session 90 minutes: $90 (This includes your personal video)
This can be done without the session as well (phone consult )

Biography
Ginny has been teaching yoga for 21 years and has recently received her Yoga Therapy certification - a 500-hour program of study. Additionally, she is certified through Kripalu, and has studied Ashtanga and Classical yoga, and Somatics. She is a licensed massage therapist and has a masters degree in exercise physiology. Her work aims to empower students and clients in self-inquiry and therapeutic movement to encourage greater awareness of body, mind and spirit.
